Arugam Bay Beach

Arugam bay is a surf beach which is located 314 km away from Colombo in the Ampara District where it’s a Dry zone area of Sri Lanka. This is a place where it is Very nice to walk by the beach and see the fishermen return back. Tourists from all over the world come here to do surfing and this is known to be surfer’s paradise.

The best time to visit Arugam Bay would be during the months of May to September when the monsoons have descended.

In order to travel Arugam Bay the closest airport is the Batticaloa Airport and also can have a bus ride which is about 9 hours or hire a taxi or rent a car and drive from any part of Sri Lanka which is about 8 hours tour.
